About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Our room was fairly nice and very clean, however we could not get a good night of sleep in this place. There are windows on every wall which are only covered by thin blinds that let in a lot of light from the outside lamps lighting up the walk ways. The rooms need curtains.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and pool was nice. It was a nice little oasis away from all the hustle and bustle.

A horrible place.
Very poorly maintained.
The photos are very misleading
Rooms with an absolutely unbearable smell.
Bathrooms and showers with a fixed window that cannot be opened, with no ventilation or fan.
The kitchen is open outside in the air and not an enclosed part of the unit, the wooden floor is completely uneven, the parquet floor is falling apart, the cabinet hinges are rotten, and worst of all there is an unbearable stench
We arrived as a family with three children and simply couldn’t stay in this hotel, and I had to look for an alternative hotel.
The hotel refused to cancel the reservation and only agreed to refund one night out of the four, even though it was impossible to stay there.
Highly not recommended – better to look for other places suitable for accommodation.

A mixed experience. The room was semi-comfortable, but the bathroom layout was awkward — the sink had a protruding leg too close to the shower, and I stubbed my toe several times. The corridor to the bathroom was also very narrow. While the property itself is beautiful with lovely surroundings and a large pool, the staff were quite direct, almost rude, when we arrived early despite having emailed ahead. It was also my partner’s birthday, and although I’d asked in advance for a small celebration setup, they didn’t respond until our arrival and offered a £12 cake with no decorations — overall, not very friendly or accommodating.
