About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

We stayed on Railay for just one night to soak up the beach life. The hotel is tucked away from the main street, designed like a charming village of bungalows. Our wooden cabin was stunning—pure island style with a canopy bed and a breathtaking bay view. Everything was clean and beautiful. The only quirk? The wooden floor shook every time my husband walked across the room; at night, I actually thought he was waking me up on purpose! :D
What to expect:
Breakfast: Simple and standard, pretty much what you’d expect at any hotel.
Pool & Views: The pool is great with a lovely view. Plus, monkeys live nearby and often visit the property.
Location: The hotel is secluded at the far end of the bay. It’s very peaceful, except for the constant noise of long-tail boats (which is a problem everywhere in Krabi, not just here).
Important Logistics Tip:
The hotel offers a scheduled shuttle from Railay Pier for 100 THB per person. We missed ours, so we took a boat taxi to Railay (100 THB/person) and then had to hire another boat to the hotel for 300 THB. Don't try to walk it with luggage—it’s a 20-minute trek and very inconvenient. Definitely factor this into your plans!

The Resort has the best views, incredible swimming pool and sits right in the middle of the forest. The environment is just perfect. Although, the rooms are in desperate need of repairs... The air conditioning makes huge noise and doesn't refresh much (maybe 24°C is the lowest the room gets). The ground is creaking all the time, the doors hardly close and let plenty of space for air to come in/out, since all insolation rubbers are worn of broken. And to make things worse, we woke up to the sound of a little mouse scratching the wood and then found the little guy inside the closet! I managed to lure him away through the door but 2 hours later the sound came back but this time from behind the closed and we then figured out there was a false bottom on the closet for the electric board which seemed to lead to the outside (probably the place the fellow came from). The mattress was really hard and pretty disconfortable. The breakfast was a deception, having little choice (ex: Expresso and Americano were the only options for coffee as cappuccino/latte/etc; there was no bacon and sausages were the simplest ones straight from the can and cut into pieces; etc etc etc). Pretty disappointed with the resort... The pool and views are 5 star, but the rest is low quality hotel. Not worth staying here considering everything above mentioned! Specialy when it sits 15min walk from the center, and whene there are plenty of other hotels/resorts with better quality and without the need for 15min walk whenever you want to do anything on the island

The hotel is secluded at the end of the bay, which makes your stay very relaxing and chill. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the display of the resort as a whole is well thought out. The view from the swimming is breathtaking and you can admire the sunrise from the beach or the comfort of your terrace. Last, but certainly not least, the staff is very kind and accommodating - they made sure our stay was extra special, we really appreciated that.

Small disclaimer:
If you're looking for a more lively, party vibe, I wouldn't recommend you stay here as you are further from the walking street. But if you're looking for beautiful nature-filled views, this is your place!

This resort is honestly amazing I can’t fault anything about it very secluded beaches and villas my room had a amazing view into the sea and at nighttime I got to enjoy the moon and stars, only thing is the front and back door don’t close properly allowing for insects to creep in also the Safety of my belongings.

Railay island is an amazing place but definitely feel a disturbance with the loud engines coming back and forth all day/night.

DO NOT GO HERE - read below

First of all this remote place charges you every time you want to go to or from the resort with a longtail boat, even though you already payed160€+ per night.
( even though they have their own boats and the pier is 5 min away )

Secondly the food is terrible and overpriced and they milk the fact that everything is so far away

If you still have a beautiful seaside honeymoon resort in mind, let me crush that dream for you.

This ‘remote’ ‘resort’ is next to a highway of longtails that are coming and going 24/7 to railay beach. So if you like the idea of staring into the tiny bit of ocean you can see from your not so great room, while listening to an orchestra of lawnmowers, then this place might be for you.

Another great point to not go here is the fact that roomservice did not supply complementary water and there are no shops nearby, so we were forced to but 100 baht evian water from the minibar which they charged us for.

The worst part might be that they placed us in a family room which is connected to another room. You could hear everything from the other room as there is a gap in the ceiling.
You could hear every word of every conversation clearly. We could even hear people splash around in the bathtub while i tried to do an online call.

All in all i have nothing positive to say about this place and there are so many other great places to spend your 160€ per night.

Oh and the doors did not lign up so there are always big gaps in every door which makes it impossible to keep mosquitoes out.
