About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

We felt very comfortable at the Twin Lotus Resort! The Deluxe Bungalows Beach/Sea & Gardenview are all beautifully situated and offer a private terrace where you can relax all day.
The hotel offers two more parts of superior rooms ( cheapier) and a private part near to the road.
The hotel staff, including the manager, are all incredibly friendly!
The breakfast is excellent (with a "refrigerator aerea"!) and you can enjoy the brekfast with a sea view.
The natural beach is very beautiful. Although there are plenty of sun beds available, many guests reserve them.... i do not understand this.
The hotel's location is quiet, and there are plenty of options for enjoying local bars and restaurants in the evening.
We highly recommend this hotel!

We had the most incredible stay at Twin Lotus Resort in Koh Lanta. From the moment we arrived, Michelle and her team made us feel so genuinely welcomed — warm smiles, kind energy, and a lovely tea on arrival that immediately set the tone.

Our room was stunning, and the team surprised us with a beautiful anniversary setup that felt so thoughtful and personal. Michelle even upgraded us to a suite, which truly elevated our first trip to Thailand and made it unforgettable.

The views are unreal. The infinity pool looks straight out over the sea, and it’s one of those places where you just sit there thinking, how is this real? Between swims, we loved that the resort offers yoga by the ocean (or on land when it’s extra warm), plus a fully equipped gym.

And the food — wow. The breakfast buffet was hands down the best we’ve ever had. So much variety, beautifully presented, and even excellent gluten-free options, including bread and pastries (which is rare and very appreciated).

What really sets Twin Lotus apart, though, is the kindness of the staff. Every interaction felt sincere, thoughtful, and full of care. We left already dreaming about coming back. Highly, highly recommend.

There isn’t anything that special about this hotel. It’s old and hasn’t been kept up. Rooms are very old, dark and dull. Comfy beds and good tv. Most staff working look as if they don’t want to actually do any work but they will come around at happy hour asking if you want to buy anything. Pool is good but not enough sunbeds and they don’t put out anymore if you ask. No towels available at the pool which is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. Best part about the hotel is the lovely clean and quiet beach! Super close to the resort and so peaceful. The best beach I have seen. The maids are very kind and hard working as well as the security and gardeners. The hotel has strict and strange rules. I had a sore throat and needed to take some hot water with honey and lemon from breakfast into my room for my throat. They wouldn’t even allow me to do this. Also breakfast is nothing special either. The bread is the only half decent part. Location is far from most of what the island offers too.

We really enjoyed our beachside villa at Twin Lotus. We had a huge deck with table and sun loungers.

The staff were always helpful and food was good.

The beach is one of the quieter beaches on Koh Lanta and while not the prettiest we appreciate that that there where less people than on the other major beaches.

If back in Koh Lanta would definitely consider staying at the Twin Lotus again.

From start to finish my stay here was amazing. The service is top tier. Michelle and the team went out of their way to make mine and my partners birthdays a hit (helping to arrange flowers and cake delivery from the mainland). The gardens are so well kept and beautiful. Breakfast was great every day. It’s a tiny bit dated but is very much worth the value and service you’ll receive.

Thank you so much Michelle kaaa
