About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

This is the worst resort which an Indian can land into in Krabi. I will lit things down and you can choose your poison.
1. Expensive just for the location
2. Very Cold Reception towards Indians, you will see them more happy receiving Europeans, Americans & Australians (more money in tips i guess)
3. No Indian items in breakfast. We travelled with a 4 year old and struggled each morning.
4. Roooms are spacious but old constructed.
5. Surprise!!!! You will see dark black lizards in your room. Adventurous right!! They will definitely drive you to the beach.
6. Shower pressure is too low for a bath.
7. 3000 baht for each room is the deposit you need to make before check-in because they think you may steel the Shower Gel bottle or towels.
Stayed here for 5 days mainly for the location.. right on the beach, surrounded by greenery, quiet, and child-friendly.
> 3 mins walkable to the Main Street
>The pool was clean and well maintained, and the room was spacious with basic amenities and good water pressure.
>The property is a bit old, and breakfast is quite simple but okay for a short stay. Staff were friendly, though some don’t speak English.
>They take a 3,000 Baht deposit (cash or card), refunded at checkout if no issues.
NOTE : check-in time is strict, no LIFT , and sometimes no staff to help with luggage. Overall, an average resort but perfect if you want a peaceful beachside stay.
LGolden Beach Resort is truly a gem! The location is superb — right where you’d want to be for a relaxing and scenic getaway. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making the stay even more pleasant.
The staff deserves special mention — they are extremely cooperative, friendly, and honest. I had forgotten an article in my room after checkout, and when I mailed them, they promptly confirmed they had found it and even offered to ship it to me. That level of integrity and hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
The in-house restaurant serves delicious food, and the overall dining experience is satisfying. Breakfast is good too, though there’s still a little room for improvement.
And the swimming pool — absolutely mind-blowing! The view from the pool is simply breathtaking, adding that extra touch of magic to the whole experience.
Everything about this property feels just right. I’d highly recommend Golden Beach Resort for anyone looking for comfort, honesty, and beauty all in one place.

Absolutely stunning hotel location. Just home from a 14 day stay at this lovely hotel. Rooms are very large with traditional furniture. Air con worked fine without too much noise, my husband ordered poached eggs most days which were perfectly cooked, nice selection of pastries lots of fruit and traditional Thai foods. Something for everyone. The biggest asset to this hotel is the wonderful friendly staff. Hotel reception especially Addia ( sorry for bad spelling?). The lovely friendly room service staff and pool guys. Waiters and waitresses in the breakfast and dining area. If you are looking for 5star modern decor with fluffy towels etc this hotel is not for you. If you want a perfect location with lovely friendly staff and traditional furnishings you will love the Golden Beach hotel ao nang. Krabi.
09/02/2026 02:41We’re a family of five with an infant (my 9 month old baby boy) staying at the Golden beach resort currently and have booked the jacuzzi villas; we checked in last night and while we very much respect that they have strict rules in place in order to maintain decorum, hygiene, decency and all such aspects, I will say that the staff here have a rude demeanour and have a severe attitude problem. For a resort that hosts people from all over the globe, I’m shocked at the standard of hospitality. We went to the reception to request them to open the room for us after our day trip as we were unsure if we had lost the keys or if they were left in the room before we stepped out; the receptionist mentioned it will cost us 2500 baht for the lost key and immediately we said we understand and have no qualms paying. Right after she very rudely asked us to leave the lobby. It came as a shock for sure. In the morning at breakfast they felt the need to keep reminding us that they would be closing soon (we ourselves had to head out and were not intending or interested in sitting at the table any longer than we needed to). The housekeeping staff don’t like being requested to do something that’s part of their responsibilities. Many such examples of how they’re barely accommodating but more importantly how inhospitable they are at this resort. So far all of the staff we have encountered have neither been polite, kind or even put on a smile for starters. The ambience, cleanliness, comfort are all good but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for good service too. Oh and one more thing, they only give you one key per room (which is also required for electricity); so if you’re here with toddlers and help or for any reason need your kids to stay in the room while you head out for a bit, it is not doable as the one key has to be carried and so everyone needs to exit the room. Overall my two cents is that one shouldn’t stay here; there are tons of places all over Krabi and I’m positive the hospitality and service will be better pretty much anywhere else.
