About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

It was the most beautiful resort we stayed at in our entire two week and a half trip! Such a lovely place, pool with fantastic view, the panoramic scene of the cliff with the sea was phenomenal. Rooms spacious and clean, great breakfast, and really comfortable stay. They have a shuttle service to take you from the pier to the hotel and other way around, so the location on the hill is absolutely no problem with luggage.
I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re in Railay, stay 1-3 nights and sleep at Phutawan Resort!
We had an amazing stay at the hotel thanks to the workers! We arrived not feeling well and they were able to give us an early check in and were super accommodating. Nice quiet room with a balcony as well. Would stay again and definitely recommend!

The hotel is located on the beautiful hills of Railay, offering a stunning setting. Very convenient location. The pool is amazing, with a lovely view over Railay. A tuk-tuk service is provided, and the amenities are perfect for a comfortable stay.
100% recommended!
Had an absolutely amazing stay here! Everything was perfect. The food, the view from the room, and the overall experience.
As a vegetarian, finding good food in Thailand can be challenging, but this resort truly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast had a great variety of delicious vegetarian options, which made our mornings so comfortable and enjoyable.
Our room had a direct sunset view of Railay Beach. The best part, though, was the swimming pool. You can sit in the pool and enjoy the stunning sunset over the beach in complete comfort.
The staff was extremely polite, warm, and welcoming. We truly had a lovely and memorable experience here. Highly recommended!
The stay was awesome!
The hotel is very beautiful, quiet and has an insane view by the pool. Great to just chill at the pool and watch the monkeys by the mountains. It’s a less than 10-minute walk to the restaurants and bars, but they provide a tuktuk that leaves you right next to it. Shout out to Myo who took us up and down many times, always very kind, sweet and polite. The staff in general is very kind and atencious. And the breakfast is very good, the egg station has Egg Benedict (pleasant surprise) and a lot of different options in the buffet. I would totally reccomend the stay!
