About Krabi and Krabi province

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Krabi province sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Very good hotel for the price
Good shower, clean room with fridge, air conditioning and good bed
I even have a balcony
Just which there would be a TV but for the price its not big deal

For the price, the cleanliness was outstanding, and the air conditioning was nearly silent, which was really useful. The fridge was huge! However, the blackout curtains were too thin, so we woke up with the sunlight. The soundproofing of the walls and doors was quite poor, and every noise from outside could be heard. What we really missed was better water pressure in the shower and a place to hang wet clothes

At your own peril stay here.
It is a shabby little place I wouldn't even have the audacity to call it a hostel let alone a hotel
The reception area was full of junk, old chairs, boxes etc, and a clothes rail with all sorts of things on and under it. The corridor was no better, just junk left there, and a pile of dirty bed sheets on the stairs.
My friend and I asked for seperate rooms, mine was fronting on a busy road, and too noisy, so, I will admit the owner did offer to change rooms for me. I ended up in a dark shabby room, fan not working (air conditioning was) but I like a fan, they did give me a freestanding one but I had to unplug the fridge extension cable as one of the sockets wasn't working, so then, no fridge!! The bedside lamp plug kept falling out the socket, and the extension cable looked worn, and decidedly dangerous.
This place is run down and doesn't have a friendly vibe, although the lady on reception was fairly helpful.
On a positive note, we had booked for the week, but didn't want to stay anymore than one night, so the owner did give us a refund, without much quibble.
We are two middle age ladies, and noted most of the other guests were in their twenties so I guess if you want a reasonable priced accommodation, with a good location then this is for you.
