About Krabi and Koh Lanta
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Positive
- Location: close to everything. Still recommend renting scooters to travel around the island
- Rooms: Positively surprised. But only because we expected the worst based on previous reviews.
- You get two bottles of water for free every day
Negative
- Cleaning: They made the bed and mopped the floor. Bed linen, towels for shower and pool were not changed once during our 4 nights stay.
- Maintenance: 10-15 years ago this was probably an amazing resort. It’s sad, because it has a lot of potential. But it’s in huge need of renovation.
- Air condition: Extremely old and takes almost 30 minutes for the room to cool down
- Vibe: The overall feeling gives abandoned resort. Some parts are ”closed” and you can tell by they way it looks
- WiFi: doesn’t work well
We didn’t even bother to try the breakfast that we already paid for, so can’t leave a review for that.
Overall, I would rate it 3 stars because of the location. We paid around 200 euros for 4 nights which still is a fair price to have somewhere to stay the night.
Nice place to explore Koh Lanta. Right in the busy area of the Island. Pretty good sized resort. We booked the deluxe bungalow, and got one almost next to the beach. Bungalow D15 across the breakfast area. Spacious bungalow and nice bathroom. Water pressure from the shower is good, but out of faucet is almost non excisting. Although the place, like being said in others reviews, need some tlc. Overall nice place. Don't expect too much of the breakfast. But you get all the basics. They can cook an egg dish on the spot for you, and you got your fresh fruit also. Offcourse your standaard english breakfast items and even a pad thai kai. During the day you can get drinks and food at the beachbar. We found out that the guests are "reserving" the sunbed with towels for the best spots. First row is already taken 7 Am. So if you want a sunbed on the first row, wake up early! They should have a no reserve policy here
26/02/2026 07:14I stayed four nights at the Hotel and Beach Bungalow at Lanta Resort, and by the end of my stay, I was left with a love-hate relationship.
After checking out most of the accommodations along Long Beach, I would say this property is among the better options—or, let’s say, the least disappointing.
During my four nights, I stayed in three different bungalows. The reason: the unbearable noise of the air conditioning. The unit is installed directly in front of the bed and blows with impressive force—you’d think you were in a wind tunnel testing a car prototype. Despite the “sleep” button on the remote, this mode seems ineffective. After visiting seven bungalows in total, I found that the problem is widespread. The only solution I found (on the last night) was to cover about 60% of the air outlet with a beach towel to reduce the airflow.
That said, the bungalows appear relatively new, well maintained, and clean. The space is pleasant and would be very suitable for a longer stay.
Another mystery: the beachside bar and restaurant are almost deserted in the evenings by hotel guests. Most seem to prefer nearby beach establishments. I couldn’t figure out why, but one thing is clear—the atmosphere feels like a retirement home, perhaps explained by the fact that many of the hotel’s guests are older.
Lovely bungalow situated a couple minutes walk from a stunning beach. We drove all of Koh Lanta and enjoyed swimming at the hotel beach the most.
Amazing staff who made great cocktails which were very tasty and well priced especially during happy hours 100bht!
Tasty breakfast as well for 250bht each day. We loved our stay here, it is very close to some excellent restaurants and bike rental shops so getting around the island was no hassle. There is also room service and lifts around the hotel complex if needed.
Yes, the complex itself and the rooms are a bit dated but they are still clean and spacious so we didn’t mind so much, especially when most of our time was spent at the gorgeous beach.
Really great hotel with super friendly staff. The rooms are clean and spacious and it is located right at the beach.
When the AC in our room broke, they upgraded us for free to a bungalow. When we had a medical emergency they were very helpful and the manager drove us to the next clinic!
Would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back:)
