About Krabi and Krabi province

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Krabi province sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

So beautiful. I'm not sure if there is. An entry fee because we did this as part of a three temple tour guided experience. While our day had this as the last stop, I could easily have spent the entire day just here. So beautiful.

The beautiful area under the throne of the king is an exhibition of Buddhist culture. The temple is still under construction, but it and its surroundings are still impressive. The entrance fee is 50BTH, they have good coffee and dessert in the large parking lot.

A beautiful buddhist golden pagoda with several impressive monuments around it, that's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

We stopped here on our way from Krabi to Khao Sok, as a part of a private daytrip we created on our own.

We arrived quite late so we decided to skip entering the pagoda, but even though we didn't enter it was a very impressive visit and we got some nice pictures on the outside.

If you do plan on entering the pagoda, make sure to bring suitable clothing (no shorts or tank tops), to honor the buddhist modesty dress code.

We hired a motorbike and took ourselves instead of a guided tour. I would definitely recommend taking yourselves there.
It was only 50THB each to enter the main temple.
It is definitely worth a visit, it’s a beautiful place, and there’s lots to see.
There’s a cafe and very clean toilets on site.

Absolute amazing temple and surrounding area. About 1 hour drive from Krabi town and well worth the visit. Development still undergoing, but plenty to see already. Fantastic art details on the inside and outside. Small entrance fee for foreigners. Shoes have to be taken off at designated spot, men in shorts are ok though. Overall nice staff and not at all crowded.
